At the present time, attention is being increasingly focused on room security and burglar protection. Therefore, from year to year increasingly severe requirements are imposed also upon entry doors. The Schoerghuber Company is keeping pace with current trends and manufactures a wide range of security doorsthat feature WK2, WK3 and WK4 burglar protection class according to DIN ENV 1627 European standard.

The burglar-protection class determines the time during which the door can resist a burglar.WK2means resisting for 3 minutes a criminal equipped with a minimum kit of tools (screwdrivers, pliers, and a wedge). WK3 protection classmeans resisting for 5 minutes a criminal equipped with a crow-bar, two screwdrivers, pliers, and wedges). WK4 protection means resisting for 10 minutes an experienced criminal equipped with additional tools (a power drill, a hammer, and a jigsaw).

To provide the required protection class, the Schoerghuber Company applies state-of-the-art technology and in-house developments in the door construction:

- all doors feature frame reinforcement of glued veneered wood

- freezes are made of hard solid wood

Additionally are installed:

- security bolts on hinge side

- multiple bolting locks

- handles with anti-drilling protection,

and many other things depending on the door's protection class.

To provide prompt response and security protection, we recommend installing amagnetic contact to warn the security personnel when the door is opened.

The burglar-protection doors may be manufactured with a one and two leafs, while permissible dimensions and furnishing options do not limit any objectives of the project architects and designers.

All doors are subject to quality control on the factory floor and also to independent TUV Product Service quality control, and comply with DIN EN ISO 9001 quality standard.
